Isadore (Izzy)
He’s being named after my great-grandfather.
His middle name will be G’s maiden name.
I’ll let you all know when Izzy joins us in the outside world.

I don’ t know what I did wrong when I worked retail. I thought I was a nice guy. I thought I did everything I could to help the customer. Hell, I even got yelled at by my bosses when I was late to a meeting BECAUSE I was helping a customer.
Which is why I ask, “Why have the customer service gods cursed me so?”

No power. Been up since 4am. Came to work at 6:45am cause they have power, only to find there’s no internet. Got that back aroun 10am. Can’t work cause I can’t authenticate with the domain in Sarasota. Starting to discuss workarounds.
1PM now…things back to normal at work. Except that my brain turned off about 11:30.
G’s home!!! WOO WOO!!!!!
I really like San Fancisco. I just wish it wasn’t so damn expensive! I went out there for the weekend and visited my brother. My parents were out there for the weekend as well and got quite the surprise when I showed up on the back of my brother’s motorcycle.
Saw the new Potter flick on Friday, which was good. Hopefully I get around to reviewing it and a few other things over at reviewdude.com in the next few days.
Saturday walked around Fisherman’s wharf with the folks. Not that interesting except for the riot police swarming a G8 protest as we drove back.
One thing of note though is that my mom’s cousins wife (my 2nd cousins wife?) is Associate Musical Director for the Napa Valley Repertory Theatre. That’s pretty damn swank, and a connection I hope to be able to use at some point the future. My mom’s cousin is actually Conductor of the Napa Valley symphony which is also very cool.
About 1:30 this afternoon I was at work when I recieved a call. It was my alarm company. The motion sensor in the living room had been set off. I thought, “Great, now we’ll get charged for another false alarm.”
Unfortunately, it was not a false alarm. Someone had broken the kitchen window, unlatched it, and forced it open (it had one of those screw down locks also). They apparenlty came in and when the alarm went off, ran.
Glass was all over my kitchen. Frodo was pretty shaken up as well.
I just keep asking…why?
After hanging out with everyone and celebrating the life of Mark Trent, I was thinking about when I did interact with him. I remember when he first auditioned for a jobsite production. He read a monologue from Breathing Oblivion. He did a great job, even if he sexualized it a little more than intended. He got the part by the way. He was in three out of the four productions Shawn and I have penned together. I feel honored, privileged and lucky to have had him star in two of them. If the shows are ever produced again, no one will be Jude or Stinky quite like Mark was.
I just found out a friend of mine passed away. I didn’t know him well, but I still considered him a friend. He starred in two of the plays I co-wrote with spprs. He was a good actor, a nice man, and someone I wish I’d known better.
We’ll miss you Mark.
I never really understood the appeal of a company holiday party…until now. As a person who doesn’t drink too much, it was incredibly amusing to watch the rest of my co-workers get pissed to the point of word slurring. All in all a good time…though I question the dancing to a song about a massacre…I have to say it was odd to watch the crowd flail around to U2’s “Sunday Bloody Sunday…now I’m still wondering why there are poinsettia all over the office, a Christmas tree on the receptionists desk, I think there’s a wreath on the door too, and I have yet to see any sign of Hannukah
