Okay, thanks goies out to DaveDorm for reminding me about Strange New Products.

Thanks to them I’ve found the following…

In case Izzy needs a little encouragement, there’s Toilet Buddies.

And in case we want him to cuddle up with some syphillis, there’s GIANTMicrobes

I’ve also added Strange New Products to my list of daily reads, so there’ll be some regular posts from this one.

Breaking news! Children are disease carrying morons!

The first link is about a study that discovered “otherwise healthy 3- and 4-year-olds drive flu epidemics”. Not a surprise really. I was always under the impression that the moment your kid started socializing with other kids on a regular basis, illness for the whole family was sure to follow.

The second link is about a study that discovered infants get very confused by symbols. This sucks since I was going to start reading Kafka’s The Metamorphosis to Izzy this weekend. Oh well, back to Goodnight Moon.

Thanks to DaddyTypes for the links.

Surveillance data suggest that preschoolers drive flu epidemics
Mindful of symbols

Here’s a question for the Dad’s out there that read this…what stroller should we get? We currently have a Graco Quattro Tour Travel System but since Izzy’s outgrown the car seat/carrier we’re considering replacing it with something else. While we like the Buggaboo’s, Peg Perego’s, and Maclaren’s I don’t think we want to spend that kind of money. (I’m not sure we can even find them inTampa.)

Any suggestions? We’d like something lightweight but I think we really like the cup holder. Keep in mind that we DRIVE everywhere, this isn’t New York, it’s Tampa. This stroller is more likely to see parking lots and malls than it is sidewalks (most of Tampa doesn’t even HAVE sidewalks).

You may have noticed some minor changes to the site (The main Gonzonia site if you’re reading this on LiveJournal). Like all those Fatherhood links over there on the right. Thanks to Rebeldad for the easily imported list.

I’ve also added the ability to subscribe to comments. I know most of you (that means 2 out of the 3 people that actually read this) don’t even leave comments, but if you do you can get an email when someone replies to it. Neat huh?

I’ve also added a “links” page. If you click on “Links” on the right you’ll get the full links listing complete with descriptions. I’m working on getting all the descriptions in there.

One of the things I want to do is get all the links aggregated into a “friends” page like livejournal. I’ve got a Wordpress plugin that places it on the admin page, but I really want something that will generate a separate page. Anyone know of anything?

One of the most disgusting things I’ve seen recenlty…Hufu - The Healthy Human Flesh Alternative!

Thanks to Strange New Products for the link

One of the funnies things I’ve seen recently…WHIP IT GOOD!

While this is one of the coolest picnic tables ever, I have to question that last image. It’s really rather disturbing with all the aryan children showing their allegiance as the dark haired haus frau brings them another plate of food.

But you’ll never get to have a party at Chuck E Cheese.

Chuck E. Cheese shows DOD propoganda.

Thanks to Daddytypes for the link.

Always nice to see that somone can keep a sense of humor in times of adversity.
