If you bought something, and it broke under warranty, when you took it back to the store what would you expect to happen if they no longer carried that exact model, but carried a comparable model?

They’ll give you the number for a call center in India where you will deal with relentlessly polite, completely ineffectual customer service robots. You will get fed up and buy the comparable model. Tell yourself it was worth the money to save the hassle.
