Tomorrow the future leader of Gonzonia will be 1 week old and I can’t imagine life without him. It’s an incredibly odd feeling. At this time a week ago I was at work getting a phone call from G telling me we got on the schedule at the hospital. Now there’s this little person up stairs asleep and completely dependent on me and G. All he does at the moment is sleep and eat, but that’s okay. The room seems empty when he’s not in it.

Okay, I guess that’s enough of the cheese that you hear from every new parent that’s worth a damn. I really don’t have much else to say. Keep checking on the Photos because I’ll be adding stuff there regularly.

We brought Izzy home last night around 5pm. We’re all very happy to be here.
I’ll let G post more details on Gonzobaby later.

The person at the Dr’s office told G. “Bring your bags, you won’t be going back home.” She was wrong. We’re home. The 4pm appointment was for paperwork.
We go back at 9:30pm. They induce about 6am tommorrow.

Well, we got on the schedule for tomorrow apparently. We go in today at 4pm to begin the process. Apparently they’ll give G some sort of medication to “soften” her up before they induce tomorrow morning. I should have photos up for everyone to see within 48 hours.

You may notice some slight changes to the site. I’ve moved from Moveable Type to WordPress…and…WELCOME LIVEJOURNAL FRIENDS!

I’ve finally got this thing set so I can post in one spot and it updates both places. That means I post to Gonzonia and my Livejournal gets updated as well.

This will make things much easier for me…and I won’t have to tell my friends there’s porn on my site to get them to read it.

Edit: Although it appears I have to post via the web interface, and it won’t update for edits….but it’s a start. Need to see if I can get LivePress working..

Edit again: Okay, I think I got LivePress working…at least partially…

Waiting sucks. Every night this week I’ve gone to sleep wondering if at some point during the night I’d getting up to either dry off before going to the hospital or grap a notepad and start timing the contractions.

The fear of not getting sleep of course makes it very difficult to sleep. The official due date is on Monday. G and I both think it’ll happen before that. However at different points this past week we have each, “had a feeling”, as have co-workers and relatives.

Apparently, none of us are psychic.

So the waiting continues…tick tock, tick tock.

So, there you are wondering what happened to me?
Nothing…yet. I’ve been restricting my nonsensical posts of random crap I find around the interweb to my LJ site. Why? Cause more of my friends read that. They’re all a bunch of lazy slackers who can’t be bothered to click beyond their frieds page….unless there’s porn.

I’m thinking that might change…but probably not.
When Izzy is born (any moment now), I might start rambling like the dude over at
