Wow.Sometimes, I REALLY like where I work. I came home from work today with a 16 port Belkin OmniView KVM.
I asked the net admin where it was going (they’re moving buildings at the main office) and he said “I don’t know, you want it.”
New these things are $500….Of course I’ll never use all 16 ports…but it’s still cool…
I’ve got an urge to post something that’s eating at me a little. Over on Livejournal a friend made a post in good fun. He felt good about something. He was being playful. Nothing wrong with that. But for some reason this prompted another person to go off on this huge rant about taking joy in video games that glorify war.
It was a personal attack on someone that I think was pretty damn petty.
All I have to say is…LIGHTEN UP! Yes the world sucks, but that is exactly why we must take what joy we can (be it a video game or playing music) and make the most of it.
There are horrible things in this world right now, and if someone wants to blow imaginary shit up on a television screen cause it makes them feel better, that’s fine. They can call themselves an “ace” too if they want. Why? Because I for one make no assumptions that they are trying to pass themselves off as a war hero. I don’t think they hold themselves in higher regard than someone who actually lived through and fought in a war.
If they can break bread with people who have and those people don’t have a problem with it, there is no reason for someone who is related to someone who fought for their country to betrate them for their happiness.

They mention you probably void your warranty. This is true..however, you should be able to restore to factory settings and have everything go back to normal. I’m tempted to experiment, but its an expensive mistake if something goes wrong.
