Well, I’m putting TitleTunes on hold temporarily (if you want the code(VB.NET), let me know and I’ll send it to you, although it’s pretty messy)
I’m looking to develop something a little more robust for playlist managment/clean up.
The problem is, that given the com interface for iTunes, I can’t find a speedy way to load the playlist into a datagrid or listbox or anything.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
So, one of my biggest peeves with iTunes was the inability to hide the main window. When I saw the COM interface SDK get released, I decided to do something about it. This is a little app (EARLY STAGES) that allows very basic control of iTunes and shows it up in the title bar (locks to top of screen, can be moved left to right). It’ll display the current track and will default to hiding iTunes main window (won’t hide systray icon if it’s there).
Right click on the window to see the menu. Play button also pauses.
Playlist can be selected by right clicking. It opens iTunes when it opens, so if iTunes is slow to open, it will be too. Exiting closes iTunes.

Wow! It’s like everyone around me is having a bad day. My day started with dealing with Fed-ex ground trying to get a package they’ve been attempting to deliver for a week. G’s day began with her computer deciding to create a new profile for her. I hear someone I work with arguing with his wife. It’s like everyone’s having one big group shitty day.
Funny how that happens.
