I’m a little confused by the price structure here. Usually when you release a new product you lower the prices of the older models so that you can still sell them. So why is the 20GB iPod (which is now discontinued) actually more expensive than the new 30GB model?
And why won’t anyone buy me an iPod?

I see a factory refurb on there for $349. Still more than I would pay for an iPod but, then, that’s why I have an open box 5 GB
I have no idea why the new 20 is more expensive than the new new 30. I also don’t know if that’s what the 20 GB has cost all along, since I never looked at them (see afore-mentioned budget constraints on my mp3 device)

Yes. That’s the original 20GB price. I saw the refurb…but I’m more disturbed by the cost of the new 20GB not going down.
